From Monday through to Saturday, there will be a major exhibition of photographs exploring the treasure trove of historical interest to be found in the fourteen churches on the Romney Marsh. Dr Douglas Moss’ photographs explore the detail of each church and look into the history which has shaped the churches into the buildings they are today.

Entrance to the exhibition at St Mary’s Centre, Lion Street, Rye (a few yards from the entrance to St Mary’s Church) is free, and it will be open from 10am to 4pm between 5th and 10th August. Dr Moss hopes that this will inspire people to discover the beauty of these unique churches for themselves – a treasure-house on our doorstep!

The Footpath Group is holding a social evening on Tuesday (booked places only, please), with a fish and chip supper, photographic quiz and a grand raffle.

Coffee Stop opens in the Church Centre each Wednesday between 10am and 12 noon and everyone is very welcome to drop in for a chat.
