District chairman Ken Poupart told the Bognor and district scouts' annual meeting: "Scouting in the district is booming and there are more waiting lists than ever but we have also, at last, had some success in getting new leaders.

"We are never complacent as turnover of volunteers in any sector can be very high in today's busy lifestyle.

"This annual report often emphasises the benefits of scouting for young people. More of them are taking advantage of what we have to offer.

"The group annual meetings that I have attended have generally been well supported. The work of all leaders is showing some remarkable results.
