Old Town's festive switch-on

CHRISTMAS comes to Bexhill Old Town on Friday, December.

Old Town Preservation Society launches its festive activities with a switch-on ceremony for its lights.

The 6pm ceremony will be outside Quakers Mill on the corner of High Street and Church Street. Dancers from King Offa School will be taking part.

Each year the preservation society generously funds a range of festive activities in Old Town for the benefit of the whole community, including decorative lights in High Street, Church Street and Manor Gardens.

The switch-on ceremony is just a curtain-raiser for what the charity has in store.

A Medieval theme will run through this year's TPS Christmas Festival. Society members will be in Medieval costume throughout the two-day festival over the weekend of December 9-10 and Manor Gardens will feature a Medieval fair in addition to a fun skating rink and snow machine.
