Animal Magic: Haywards Heath Town Day

And, for our four-legged friends, that means the culmination of the season’s dog shows.

The Mewes Vets are proud to once again organise and sponsor the dog show at Haywards Heath Town Day, and we would love you and your family to join us in cheering on all the beloved pets.

We have classes to suit everyone from the waggiest tail to the best biscuit catcher.

If you have never entered a dog show with your canine best friend, then this is a lovely way to spend an afternoon. You need to arrive at around 12 noon when the whole event opens, and register at the Mewes Vets gazebo on Victoria Park. Enter as many classes as you like. It’s just £2 per dog per class, or £5 if you enter 3 classes.

You can see all the classes, and what time each class is scheduled to be judged on our website at themewesvets.co.uk/events. Whilst you wait between classes there is so much to do and see, from face painting and the funfair, to balloon modelling and selfies with a T-rex!

When it’s your class, you and your best friend come into the ring, and do your best to impress the judge. If you catch her eye, there are prizes, rosettes and serious bragging rights to be won. It’s a wonderful celebration of all things dog, and a great chance to give your pet a fabulous day out, and meet new friends.

And the real joy of it is that every single one is a winner, because they get to show off how much they are loved, and to be celebrated as part of the town day experience.

We will wind up the dog show at 4pm with the parade of all the dogs that have taken first place in each class through the afternoon, and judging of the coveted Best in Show prize.

Then our four-legged friends can sleep it off, whilst you bop the evening away with live music culminating in a performance by the UK’s top ABBA tribute band Re-Bjorn until 9pm.
