Bigger problems need to be addressed

I AM astounded such a small community as the east European one in our area can be responsible for 18 per cent of crime and then the police say it's not a problem.

Obviously there are problems within that community which need to be addressed from within that community and by the police and other services.

I was pleased to see the problem with people (mostly from eastern Europe) drinking in the London Road car/coach park was solved so easily by simply removing the benches – congratulations to whoever thought of the simple but effective solution.

However, law-abiding people no longer have anywhere to sit.

Let’s hope that a solution to this situation can be found for the sake of us all including the law-abiding and welcome people from the east of Europe.
