Britain is open and tolerant

Nick Perry wrote a letter last week within the opinion page of the Observer, mentioning his little party fighting for the UK.

Personally, I am so pleased that the UK has taken back full responsibility for the governing of its nation and MPs are no longer able to blame the EU for their failings. All credit and blame now lies where it should, at the seat of our elected MPs of the UK, they must now strive to work for their constituents, no more blame culture.

Mind you, they have in many cases been justified in the blame game of an EU dictated by an unelected council overseeing the lives of hundreds of millions of people.

Perhaps additional maths lessons for Nick might bring him to identify that 45 per cent is not the democratic majority and be it that we may want to please everyone, it is unfortunately not possible.

I am sure any MP will tell you of the frustrations that dilemma may have on their own conscience, knowing however that the majority vote is the nearest we will get to true democracy.

Nick finishes by saying to keep Britain open, tolerant and united. Think on Nick, the Prime Minister (who incidentally supported the remain vote) has fully understood the wishes of the majority and is making brave efforts to fulfil them. OPEN, yes to trade throughout the world, not dictated to by the EU as to whom we trade. OPEN, yes to permit immigration as and when, by people from throughout the world, not dictated to by the EU, as to whom has priority and how many we will accept. TOLERANT, have the EU been tolerant to Greece and other nations whose way of life and spending does not agree with their system. UNITED, the Prime Minister Theresa May has called on her fellow Conservatives to continue ‘loudly and clearly’ putting the case for the ‘precious Union’ of the UK.

To keep Britain in the Common Market is the main issue that Nick raises.

Well my father always said if you are going to do something do it fully, or not at all. Wise words in my view.

Surely we all understand that you do not put your cards on the table prior to negotiations, otherwise you have nothing to negotiate. Let us all support the wish of the majority and demonstrate to the negotiators a strong UNITED UK.

Or are we to tear pieces out that do not sit comfortably with our own agenda.

Yes Nick, seemingly it is only your little party that will.
