Battle Observer Comment

Although you probably wouldn’t know it in Battle as the NHS Trust has decided not to hold a public consultation in the town.

The Trust points out that anyone in Battle wanting to attend a public consultation can simply head up the road to Hastings.

Which is all very well in theory as it is a very short drive away. Or bus journey. Or train ride.

But they seem to have failed to take into account the smaller villages in Rother which may not enjoy the same transport links as Battle.

It’s a shame there isn’t a public consultation planned for Battle.

With such major proposals it is imperative that everyone is offered the chance to have their say, regardless of where they live.
