Change the life of a blind person in Arun

A GOOD cause which helps brighten the lives of blind people in the Arun area is appealing for more volunteers to swell its ranks.

4Sight, which offers support for the visually impaired, is urging people to become part-time drivers for its Kitchen Klub.

The group offers blind people the chance to cook nutritious meals in a safe and friendly environment.

Although it is based in Victoria Drive, Bognor Regis, 4Sight is looking for drivers to collect people from east Arun, which includes the Littlehampton and Arundel areas.

The sessions are held monthly on a Wednesday, from 10am to about 12.30pm. People being picked up would be asked to pay £2.50 each towards the volunteer expenses. Drivers will be welcome to participate in the session if they wish and lunch will be provided.

The charity is also seeking to find a co-ordinator to organise its regular activity sessions. No particular skills are required, just a passion for a hobby or activity that others can enjoy with the aim of combating social isolation, providing friendship, company and stimulation while helping people to improve their communication and social skills following sight loss or other age-related health issues.
