Getting tough on crime

Crime has already taken a hammering in the first few weeks of the year with the Rye Police team gaining convictions and arrests for crimes including race-hate and violent disorder.

Part of this has to be down to stability. In the past officers came and went regularly but now those in Rye and the surrounding villages have got to know their local bobbies and community support officers and feel they are being listened to.
