Learn to make festive floraldecorations at Sedlescombe

People will have the chance to learn how to make some eye-catching floral Christmas decorations when The Sedlescombe and District Garden Society hold their final event of the year on Tuesday December 2 when there will be a demonstration on “Making Christmas Floral Decorations”

This will be followed by afternoon tea. This will take place at Sedlescombe Village Hall starting at 2.00 pm. and will be free for members but non-members are welcome at £5 per person.

Chairman John Parsons said: “The Society held their 68th Annual General Meeting on Friday 7th November which was well attended and included a very interesting talk on “The Trials and Tribulations of Growing Vines for English Wines” by our local vine grower, Neil Mortimer.

“The Society has had a very successful 70th Anniversary year and the committee is working hard on another full programme of events for 2015, including three Shows, a Plant Sale and a Garden Safari as well as some interesting talks.

“Existing members can renew their membership at any time now and new members would be welcomed with open arms.

“Why not come along next Tuesday and meet some of our existing committee and members and get a feel for what the Society can offer.

“Membership is just £10.00 for a family and £7.00 for individual membership.”
