Cost is turn-off

I wholeheartedly agree with Alan Green's letter (Observer, August 30). Seeing the list of entry costs I have decided I will not be visiting and, in later discussions with friends, there is a general feeling that we will be boycotting the museum whilst the charges remain.

Fortunately I was able to get sight of the baths before some mean-spirited person decided the window should be blanked to avoid viewing from the outside. I would have thought this would be an incentive to go inside the building.

As Mr Green states we have already paid for museum services and admission should be free. It is further adding insult to injury to read of the cost of the refurbishment of the buildings at the rear of County Hall: £2.8 million!
