Court leads way
Hats off to the Chichester Crown Court for achieving second position of 88.3 per cent in the new '˜leniency league table,' on the percentage of burglars given immediate sentences.
Based on official Ministry of Justice figures, the table showed great variations in how Crown Courts deal with convicted burglars.
As those people who have been burgled will know, it is a distressing and unforgettable experience.
