Today I have just watched our recycling of glass take place.

I am horrified that the truck is leaving huge piles of crushed glass in the middle of the road. I have taken photos and I rushed after the truck as cars, buses and vans are driving over the glass, which is between two schools and near neighbours with pets.

I have been told that the truck needs welding and it’s not booked in until tomorrow.

Why have they let the truck go out? Surely it is not roadworthy? I have phoned the recycling company who phoned the contractor and I have just been on hold to the non-emergency police number for 19 minutes, hoping they will get the truck taken off the road but no answer.

An hour after this all happened a little sweeper van has gone past, too late!

The glass has been crushed into the road by cars and other vehicles. I would urge every single driver who has had their tyres affected by this to contact Kier. If I took my car on the road causing such chaos, I would expect police involvement!
