'˜Learn our culture?'
According to Chief Inspector Jane Derrick (Observer, May 17) we have had an eight per cent increase in crime this year across the Arun District.
Her politically correct comments regarding the immigrant community are to be expected from a senior police officer. However CI Derrick and Nigel Lynn, Arun District Council’s chief executive, say we know little about Eastern European culture and that we need to gain a better understanding.
Just a thought but shouldn’t our European friends in Bognor be encouraged to learn our culture and language whilst they reside here?
