LETTER: Clean-up needs people power

I would like to reassure Mr Thomson and others who have written in about the disgusting litter on our roadside and verges, especially along the A27 and A26.

I have been complaining to Lewes District Council for some time now. I keep getting the health and safety issue thrown at me.

I am sure that all of you are aware that a simple solution would be to have a rolling road block with a vehicle that protects the workforce.

If other countries can keep their countryside clean, then I am sure we can as well.

I need everyone to contact Lewes District Council and to keep complaining. Sadly, even a county councillor carries no weight with LDC.

More people power is needed.
