A Freedom of Information Act (FoI) request has revealed that Horsham District Council has made a net profit of £5million from the sale of its building Park North, where its Grand Council Chamber once stood in a purpose built building.

Yet our Dear Leader Councillor Dawe has now chosen to rent space from West Sussex County Council in Parkside at an annual cost of £372,500 per annum.

What was the rush to sell Horsham District Council’s offices? More to the point, why sell at all?

Was selling its building for a profit of £5million good value for council tax paers set against an annual rent of £372,500 for each and every year going forward?
