LETTER: Hideous plan from cyclists
Yet another hideous plan from cyclists in the Bespoke Eastbourne group to destroy our beautiful seafront by turning it into a two-way cycle track [Herald, April 28] with the assertion it '...would bring extra trade to seafront businesses'.
Rubbish. The cycle tracks would deter the majority of shoppers in the very few shops between the pier and the Redoubt Fortress. The cyclists are a menace – all with their plastic suits, silly hats and cameras. If the photo of Mr Robert McGowan on his bike is anything to go by he is a fine example of ruining Eastbourne’s air quality with a huge line of cars crawling along behind him all belching exhaust and at two mph!
Get a life and walk along the promenade.
