LETTER: I know who I believe on NHS

The junior doctors claim that the contract terms forced on them is unfair and dangerous for their patients.

The health secretary Jeremy Hunt claims that the new deal is both fair and in the best interests of patients.

As a potential patient of the NHS, I know which side I believe.

The junior doctors are highly trained professionals, whereas Mr Hunt’s medical qualifications are what?

At last May’s general election, 76 per cent of voters believed that the future of the NHS was the most important issue.

What we got was a government that reflects just 24 per cent of the electorate.

Therefore, I believe that in the face of more strikes, Mr Cameron should go to the country to resolve this matter.
