LETTER: Many thanks for generosity

I would like to thank the residents of Eastbourne for their amazing generosity in donating food and toys for our annual appeal at Christmas. We were able to help 125 families, 85 single people and 250 children. The Salvation Army has been running the annual tin and toy appeal through the Herald for nearly 20 years and it is good to know that the public continue to support us, especially with the economic climate we are experiencing and with so many charities asking for donations for the same thing. We would also like to thank the various companies who have also helped us '“ without all your support we would not be able to help the many people we have assisted over the years. To all of you, on behalf of The Salvation Army Eastbourne Citadel, I thank you.
