No, it was the sheer pleasure and feeling of safeness driving on roads all across the island that were pothole-free.

Returning to Sussex and venturing (see dictionary for meaning of the word) onto the county’s roads once again, brought home to me just how dangerous many of the roads are.

Perhaps when we leave the EU, some of our billions of pounds that are contributed annually to that ‘State’ can be redirected to making this country’s road network reliable and safe once more?
