LETTER: Thanks to true good Samaritan

I want to acknowledge the act of a good Samaritan who came to my rescue on November 5.

My husband was driving me to the Bluebell Railway as I was to be a surprise guest at tea on the train for my friend’s birthday when we had a puncture and our spare was flat.

We phoned the AA who said they may be with us by 4pm.

It was 2.30 and I had to be at the Bluebell station at 3pm.

My husband waved down two vehicles but the drivers refused to help. The third driver we stopped immediately agreed to give me a lift. He said he was going to near Sheffield Park and lived at Mannings Heath.

I did thank him as I left his car, but I think he needs more thanks for coming to my rescue. I hope he reads this letter - a true good Samaritan!
