Highlights of this spring season include a midsummer walk from the Kissingate Brewery starting in Lower Beeding and a walk on Sussex Day starting down at Arundel.

The health walks programme run by Horsham District Council is a great way to meet new friends, keep active and discover new places to walk in the picturesque Horsham District.

Walking is a great way to stay active and can be fitted into everyday life. From reducing stress to losing weight and sharing laughs, the walks have something for people of all abilities.

The programme sets out the date, time and starting point of each walk as well as the distance, an estimated time and a difficulty level for those less or more active. There is also a contact for the leader on that walk.

Cllr Sue Rogers, Horsham District Council’s Cabinet Member for a Safer and Healthier District, said: “It’s great to see some new walks joining the regular programme for the April to June season.

“The walks are a great way for people to meet up and explore what our beautiful District has to offer, at the same time as keeping active, and I encourage people of all ages to take part in the walk this year.”
