The organisers of the October Farmers Market in Steyning - which took place on Saturday October 4 - are always aware of the imminent date, and hold their Annual Pumpkin Weigh Competition.

There were a host of different sized pumpkins; tiny ones, small ones, medium ones and of course, HUGE ones! Derek Crush from Daylands Farm was in charge of weighing, and by the end of the morning’s Market, the clear winners were Noah, Jacob and Mabel.

Dad came along to help transport the massive entry, and perhaps he might even have helped to plant it, water it, and look after it... Anyway, the other adult entries were well and truly beaten by the green fingered family.
