Bit of common sense

I FIND it hard to believe that Paul Minter's letter (Bexhill Observer, November 19) about parking at the new High School is serious.

Has he not heard of buses? Are his children really that incapable of walking five minutes down the road to a place where he can (still) park legally and safely?

If parents exercised a bit of common sense there would not be a problem.

I should point out I am a parent and on the one occasion I did drive to the school, to look round on the Monday night, there was ample safe parking within a couple of minutes’ walk.

As for the “adults” shouting and swearing in front of the children on Tuesday night, my 12-year-old and his friends described you as “pathetic”, “like primary school children” and “brainless”.

Good luck, Mr Conn and your staff. At least I know my son and his friends are getting a fantastic opportunity. If others want to look a gift horse in the mouth, more fool them!
