Boris Johnson has met my expectations precisely
One of the paragraphs in the 2019 Conservative general election manifesto included the words: “We will continue to be a country that is a champion of the rule of law, anti-corruption efforts and a rules-based international system.”
Since then a minister has been in the news over links to donations from developers and favourable planning decisions, yet remains in post.

No-one has accepted responsibility.
Now incredibly the government appears set to breach an international agreement they themselves signed only a few months ago.
This will cause severe and perhaps lasting damage to our nations global reputation.
Eastbourne will be aware I did not have a high opinion of Mr Johnson as I had serious concerns over what sort of government we would have with him as Prime Minister.
He has met my expectations precisely.
