Brexit poses no danger to UK

Gosh, are disgruntled Remainers still wingeing and sagely repeating verbatim flawed pre-election scaremongery, prophecies of doom and fallacies?

Brexit poses no danger - the only danger lies, as ever, in the calibre of our politicians who are elected to represent all their constituents, not just those who support their Party. Alas, many are now showing their true colours through contempt towards the intelligence of the electorate from the PM turning his back on Britain by resigning (having promised to abide by the will of the people and lead Britain out following his back-to-front referendum) to those vengeful MPs intent on sabotaging the Brexit process. If that is their selfish intent, then they should resign and stand again in a by-election and pray they win.

As to Neverenda, if an old nag is beating the favourite by a grey-whiskered nose in the 2-30, should we project the finishing line further until there is a clear two-thirds (67 per cent) body length between them?

Of course not for we live in an democracy, albeit imperfect, by which a simple majority (usually) suffices.

Indeed the referendum was fairly won on a 72 per cent turnout by both ‘first past the post’ and the AV/PR 51 per cent criterion! Had Remainers won on ‘just’ 52 per ceny, would they demand a rerun as it was below 67 per cent? Nope!

Wise Remainers will know all is not lost for not only will Brexit force the complacent EU to either reform for the better, or collapse through contempt for democracy, but Article 50 allows Britain to rejoin a happily reformed EU Mk.II at a later date... after a 100 per cent turnout, 67 per cent win of course!
