Carnival shines in the rain

I WOULD like to take this opportunity of thanking my committee for its tireless work over the last 12 months to enable the Littlehampton Carnival, in its 35th year, to be such a success.

In spite of the dreadful weather conditions none of them complained and the thought of cancelling it was never mentioned.

Over the last year we have been plagued with dreadful weather conditions on most of the events we have planned and rain seems to follow us everywhere; the committee members have got soaking wet and frozen, as even snow affected us, but they still battled on.

They are a very close, special team and all the work they carry out is totally voluntary and I would just like to say I am very proud of you all and thank you for your friendship not only to me but to my husband Anthony.
