The event is open between 10.30am and 5pm daily and Rachel will be officially opening the whole weekend on the Saturday morning and then doing a ‘meet and greet’ session in the Garden. Georgie Newbery from Common Farm Flowers and author of ‘The Flower Farmer’s Year’ will also be at the event on Saturday, giving demonstrations and talks and answering questions on British Floristry.

The Garden Weekend is Parham’s flagship event and attracts a wide spectrum of high quality specialist nurseries. It is also one of the best garden weekends in the South East of England for viewing and buying really top quality plants for your garden. The event has grown in size again this year and there will be over 50 quality specialist nurseries in attendance. The nurseries will be located in the Pleasure Grounds, adjacent to Parham’s beautiful 4 acre Walled Garden, for visitors to browse, shop and seek specialist advice.

Additionally, the garden team at Parham led by Head Gardener Tom Brown, grow and sell over 200 herbaceous perennial plants, as found in Parham’s famous borders. The Parham Plant & Garden Shop is one of the biggest and most comprehensive suppliers of home-grown high quality herbaceous plants in the area.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy the stunning flower displays in every room in Parham House. A long-standing tradition, the arrangements are created by the Parham House flower-arranging team, and they use freshly cut summer flowers from the Walled Garden. In addition, there will be a Flower Festival in St Peter’s Church, located just to the south of the house and within easy walking distance.

The Arundel and Littlehampton District Scout Band, the Davison’s Worthing Youth Concert Band and the Broadwood Morris Men will all be performing during the weekend.

A mouth-watering selection of homemade lunches, afternoon teas and cakes will be available at several outlets including the Tudor Big Kitchen, the Old Mower Shed and the catering tent in the Pleasure Grounds. Produce from the Garden is used wherever possible.
