Children create fun food figures

Sainsbury’s Horsham and Food Rocks invited children to create a Crazy Food Figure for the Little Nibble Children’s Food Festival.

The Crazy Food Figure Zone featured a wide range of foods provided by Sainsbury’s Horsham for children to create fun figures on the day, with amazing prizes for the winner and runner up in 3 age categories.

Pictured are, the Winner in the Over 10 category - Emma and Winner in the 5-9 year category William along with Amy from Food Rocks and Jane Etheridge from Sainsbury’s Horsham.

The Winner from the under 5 category was George who collected his prize from Sainsbury’s the following week. The winning designs were chosen by Masterchef: The Professionals winner Steven Edwards.

Over 120 children took part throughout the day and Derek Boarer Store Manager of Sainsbury’s Horsham said: “Wow what a fantastic day, we were delighted to be a part of the first “Little Nibble” event and the response was phenomenal. The children really enjoyed making their figures and as the day progressed the designs became more and more inventive.

“We’d like to thank Food Rocks and Horsham District Council for the opportunity and look forward to next year.”
