From a fantastically funny parrot to an incredibly fat frog, there was something to excite children (of all ages) when Animazing came to visit Hillier Horsham recently.

On Wednesday July 30, Animazing visited the Hillier Garden Centre on Brighton Road with their brilliant array of creatures great and small.

All day children and adults got to get up close and personal with the amazing animals such as Dudley the parrot, a vivid green cricket and a very friendly snake!

Harry, aged 8, said: “My favourite bit was holding the snake, he felt funny and he kept looking at me, but it was really cool!”

Manager of the centre, Terry Clarke, said: “Animazing were so popular in February half term we knew we had to bring them back this time round and it was no surprise just how many people came to see them.

“It’s brilliant for kids to see so many different animals, and we’re thrilled to be able to provide this for free as part of our summer holiday activities.”

Entertainment and activities have been arranged for every week at Hillier Horsham on Wow Wednesdays.

Other activities planned include entertainer Tomfoolery, the Little Growers gardening club and the return of Animazing at the end of August.

Free crafting all day at The Shopfest Craft Den took place on August 6.

Throughout the summer holidays a Teddy Bear Picnic Trail is taking place, pick up your answer form from the front of the store and then hunt out the teddies hiding around the centre and answer their questions – don’t forget to bring your bear.
