Clearing the air

IN RESPONSE to the two letters published in last week’s Littlehampton Gazette (September 12) regarding Jewels’ Stables in Crossbush, we would like to clarify the position of the residents of Crossbush.

We are informed by Arun District Council that a riding establishments license has been granted to the operator but is used at a site which does not have lawful use for this activity.

There has never been a mention or comment in relation to the instructor’s ability or qualifications only that this business has been developed without any development control, having not sought the correct planning permissions and is operating contrary to the current planning controls pertaining to this area of land.

In doing so parishioners have complained about the peace and enjoyment of the neighbourhood being negatively effected.
