The local NFU Mutual office, on Hardham Mill Business Park, wanted to do their bit for charity, and their challenge will start with a 50 mile cycle ride, followed by a climb of Helvellyn (England’s second highest mountain), and finally they will canoe 3 kilometres across Thirlmere. The team, consisting of Steven Russell, Alastair McAloon, Fallon Turner and Emily Morgan are busy training for their fundraiser. The challenge has been dubbed ‘Race Against the Sun’ because they will start their challenge at sun rise, and will aim to complete it by sun set. No mean feat.

Steven Russell, Office Manager at NFU Mutual Pulborough, explains more: “Action Medical Research is a fantastic charity, and having just recently become a father myself to my son Finley, who is now one year old, I am more conscious than ever as to how painful it must be for children and the parents if there are health issues present.”
