Cut out middle
The latest decision by Arun District Council, to cut its funding to town and parish councils, surely adds weight to the idea that we would be better off without this middle layer of bureaucracy?
Give more power to the town and parish, councils who are far more in tune with local opinion and less likely to waste money on expensive and unnecessary consultants.
