Don’t mention it

I WAS just wondering why when I walk in a shop you find Christmas displays, and it is only September?

When I was a child I’m sure that the shop displays were not set up in shops until December.

We haven’t even had Hallowe’en or firework night yet.

The fun is going out of Christmas when you are having it rammed down your throat three months before the actual day.

Stores should remember that there are a lot of families having to tighten their belts, and now when their children go in the shops they will get the added pressure of “can we have this for Christmas?”.

Just a message to the shops: please go back to the good old days when you could get excited about Christmas and not totally fed up with it by the time it gets here.
