Duke of Edinburgh success
A big ‘well done’ to all for completing this challenging assignment. They did 15km each day for three days carrying a 28lb rucksack in woodland and over scrub-land, where there are no footpath signs, they only had a map and a compass to test their navigational skills – which is a praiseworthy achievement. The New Forest Assessors were very complimentary about them in every way, and they were excellent ambassadors for the school. Also, a big thank you to our leadership team for the preparation training, monitoring teams on the Expedition and all the support activities which are involved over the week-end. The school has built-up an excellent and valued long standing reputation for excellence with the New Forest Assessors, so well done everyone.
