EH putting promises to town into action

I THANK you for reporting in the Battle Observer dated April 22 that English Heritage have decided to join the Chamber of Commerce again and to become more involved with the life of Battle.

You also noted that Dawn Postlethwaite, English Heritage’s Head of Operations, had been invited by me to help with the judging of the children’s section of the Scarecrow Festival.

What was not mentioned in the newspaper article, which I believe is important, is that Dawn had accepted the invitation.

This shows to me and many others in the town, that English Heritage are putting their promises of taking part in the town life into action.

It is welcomed and we hope for more joint activities in the near future.
