The hospice cares for 300 children and young adults from 0-25 years of age with progressive life-limiting conditions, both at the hospice and in the community in the comfort of the families’ own homes.

Toby Lott, the Tennis Club’s Chairman said: “It is encouraging seeing so many members helping to make a difference for local life-limited children and supporting our most recent fundraising event”.

The Club’s charity fancy dress tennis competition raised funds from entry fees and voluntary donations from members.

The theme was super-heroes, and players overcame handicaps from body armour and face masks to play some competitive tennis. Robert Timms (insert) won best outfit as Mr Incredible.

Hugh Lowson, Chief Executive of Chestnut Tree House, said: “We are very grateful for this wonderful donation which will make a real difference to the children and families we care for. Thank you from all of us at Chestnut Tree House.”
