French markets come to town for Primary schools

The children had to ask for everything in French, understand the answers and prices given by the “French” stall holders, and “pay” using the correct Euros.
The children loved using their French for a purpose, paying with real Euros and eating real French food - délicieux!

Children at both schools wanted to say a special thank you to their French teacher Sophie Wells for organising the event. The French Market put their learning into a real context and as one child said, ‘Next time the French Market comes to Horsham I’m going to speak real French to real French people!.’
