Gardening personality to open Billingshurst charity fair

Ambassador for ‘Grow Your Own’ and gardening celebrity Pippa Greenwood will officially open the New Horizons Appeal Garden and Local Produce Fair at 10.30 am and talk to visitors all day about growing your own fruit and vegetables in the garden.

The fair is in aid of St Catherine’s Hospice and will be held n Thursday, May 16 at Summers Place, Billingshurst

Early birds can enjoy a bubbly preview breakfast from 8.30am until 10.30am with tickets at £12.50.

Visitors can enjoy freshly BBQ breakfast of local produced meat, or locally produced muesli, with a glass of bubbles whilst having first pickings of 50 wonderful, specialist plants and locally produced food and drink.

There will also be a talk by Gravetye Manor head gardener at 11.30am.

General admission after 10.30am is £4 with parking a short walk to the lawns of Summers Place and handy wheel barrows on stand by for taking purchases to vehicles.

Disabled parking and toilets are provided. Please note the ground is uneven in the parking area and lawns.
