Generous help in difficult times

May I through your columns and on behalf of the Samaritans of Horsham and Crawley, thank everyone who so generously contributed to our recent collection day in Horsham town centre on April 6, which raised a remarkable £1,130.

As a local branch of the Samaritans, we are entirely self-funding and have to find £36,000 a year to run our centre.

In these difficult times our listening service for people in distress is more in demand than ever so we are particularly grateful for the extremely generous support we received.

Money for new observation hides

The Friends of Warnham Local Nature Reserve would like to thank Waitrose and all their customers who supported us in the ‘Community Matters’ scheme. The money raised will be put to good use for the joint benefit of the Reserve and the local community through investment in improving our existing observation hides and the purchase of new ones.
