Girlguides to pop-up in Horsham as part of recruitment campaign

Well, we had a great time in our “Pop-Up” shop in Swan Walk on Saturday 07 February courtesy of the Centre Management and our thanks to all the Swan Walk staff for their friendly support and help.

We had a large number of visitors and our cheerful Brownies and Guides gave out lots of leaflets, so hopefully we shall be inundated with volunteers to keep Girlguiding running smoothly over coming years.

2014 saw many fantastic opportunities for Brownies to celebrate the Big Brownie Birthday (100 years) and from 2015 onwards we hope to offer all Sections of our movement lots of exciting activities and adventures.

In the last 12 months girls have visited the Ceramic Shack to paint their own pottery mug or bowl, have had visits from the Karate Kickboxing Alliance, our Units are planning to visit K2 for Wall Climbing and Scuba Diving, and to play Bowls, enjoy the outdoors with Camps at our beautiful Campsite and visit other areas in (and outside of) West Sussex for residential holidays. Taken opportunities to visit both Sainsbury’s to learn about bread making and Tesco’s for their talk on Farm to Fork.

So if you didn’t get the chance to come and visit us in Swan Walk please do come and see us on our Market Stall on Saturday 28th February 2015 or visit www.girlguiding.org.uk/interested

Or contact us on [email protected]

We look forward to meeting you.
