A young lady came by but could not help. She stayed with me having turned me on my back.
A young man was next, who sat me up and supported me.
A third gentleman arrived. He lived near the houses across the square saying he had phoned for an ambulance which arrived very soon.

Hide AdAt first they wanted to take me to A&E but I assured them I had no broken bones and if they helped me up I could go across the road to the doctor’s surgery.
My good Samaritans had by now disappeared without a word and I had not been able to thank them.
The ambulance crew took me to the surgery much to the surprise of the receptionist as I walked in with two ambulance personnel.
