Horsham youngster’ssolo recorder concert

Arielle Johnson is performing her first solo recorder concert at Horsham Unitarian Church, Worthing Road, Horsham, on Saturday September 26 at 7:30pm.

Arielle will be playing descant and treble recorders and will be accompanied by piano and spinet. She will be playing a range of pieces by Vivaldi, Sieber, Scott, Handel, Barsanti, Lane and Jacob.

Arielle was born and lives in Horsham. She started to learn the violin at aged 5 and the recorder at age 8.

Arielle is an accomplished recorder player who is currently working towards her Licentiate Performing Diploma with Trinity College London.

Arielle also plays the violin in Horsham Symphony Orchestra. She is in her second year of A levels at The Holy Trinity School, Crawley studying Maths, Chemistry and Biology.

Ticket prices are £9 in advance, £10 on the door and £4 for those in full time education. Seats are limited so it is recommended you book in advance.

Donations from the proceeds of this concert will be given to Meningitis Now, in gratitude of their support shown to her and her family.

Arielle contracted bacterial Meningitis when she was 17 months old and is monaural (completely deaf in one ear).
