Hospital promise

Don't be surprised, the goalposts have moved yet again. We now find ourselves on a shortlist of seven projects and a new group, the Local Improvement Finance Trust Community Partnership, will decide which of these projects it wants to work with.

When it meets, the members should be made aware of two things:

* the health authority promised the people of Littlehampton the hospital would be rebuilt;

* the money was available and had been allocated for the rebuilding.

As yet, nobody from the health authority has come forward to explain to us what has happened to this money.
