In a fresh light

I read Tricia North’s letter (Gazette, February 26) about the replacement of lamp posts along the East Beach Promenade at Littlehampton with interest.

I would like to take this opportunity to set the record straight. The replacement of the lamp posts is not being carried out by Arun District Council. However, a company called SSE Contracting is completing the work on behalf of West Sussex County Council.

I would suggest Ms North should contact the county council to find out more information.
