Keeping neon sign local

OH dear. I am sorry Andy McTaggart does not like the neon sign on the café (Gazette letters, February 18).

It was designed by the Heatherwick Studio and was chosen specifically because neon is a traditional feature of the English seaside. But in good taste.

Lots of visitors to the caf love it and understand the reference.

It was made for us by a Brighton firm, Fishtail Neon, which specialises in neon artwork.

The owner is also a regular customer of ours and proud his work has been affixed to a Thomas Heatherwick building.
