LAUGH out loud! Tory councillor Deirdre Williams 'defects' to the 'Independents'. Can you defect to being independent?
Except, as everyone knows, these “independents” are, in fact, the Bexhill Alliance, itself made up of largely disaffected Tories. So, if anyone is expecting great things from this melodramatic moment, they are doomed to disappointment.
As for other unhappy Tory councillors - you know who you are - if you really want to make a difference then join the Labour group: if they’ll have you!
