The attack by Stephen Lloyd click here to read, Tony Blair, and John Major on Boris Johnson for altering the Withdrawal Agreement to allow continuing internal trade between Northern Ireland and the rest of the British Isles, needs questioning.

These yesterday’s men, all prominent pro EU supporters need to have their past records examined. John Major who along with other pro EU MPs, was responsible for forcing Margaret Thatcher out of office because of her growing EU concerns.

Prior to that and as Chancellor, he forced Thatcher to sign up to the ERM. He then manoeuvred himself into becoming our next PM. While in office he oversaw the catastrophe of the ERM which cost this country £5billion in just a few days because of his pro EU support. He was also responsible for adopting the Maastricht Treaty.

Tony Blair followed John Major into office in 1997 as PM. His ultimate ambition was to become President of the EU. To achieve this, he was prepared to go beyond the ERM and give up the Pound in favour of the Euro.

Can you imagine the catastrophe that would have been to this country had he got his way? Blair also continued in adopting the Maastricht Treaty, although it was dropped by the EU because of opposition to it, throughout the rest of the EU. He went on to promote the Lisbon Treaty, the replacement of Maastricht.

Furthermore, he was responsible for our involvement in the 2003 Iraq war and the catastrophe that led to. The deaths of hundreds of thousands and the formation of ISIS, and the carnage is still going on.

The only thing I would say about Stephen Lloyd is he was elected on the promise to back the decision to leave the EU and failed to do this by taking numerous opportunities to disrupt the process of leaving the EU when in Parliament. Those comments made by Stephen Lloyd in last week’s Herald, exposes him along with other pro EU supporters as using any excuse to undermine the government in leaving the EU, the democratic decision of the people.

The arrogance of the EU to threaten to put a blockade between the UK and Northern Ireland does not surprise me. What would this mean, how would they impose this? The waters between the UK and Ireland are all British territorial waters. To physically do this would mean ships of one of the EU states entering UK waters to enforce it. This could be construed as an act of war. These pro EU people should remember this and where their allegiance should lay.
