LETTER: Centre plans are not fit for purpose

I wish I could understand the logic that Horsham District Council is applying to the demolition of the existing sports centre and then replacing it with a £14m centre, which from the plans currently being shown to users (council meeting13th October 2015) would appear not to be fit for purpose.

In this time of balancing the fiscal budget, with cuts to social services etc., how can they justify spending all that money for an end product with less facilities than the current centre, just because ‘the money is in the budget’ and needs to be spent...
