LETTER: Charter support from Lib Dems
The County Times Comment - these pages, March 5 - referred to ‘all Lib Dem opposition politicians who have not yet added their signatures [to the County Times Free Speech Charter] are expected to do so’.
Frances Haigh, leader of the Lib Dem group on Horsham District Council, has asked us to point out that all seven current Lib Dem district councillors have signed, and did so a year ago. She added: “Our new candidates are being asked if they would like to do so. As you know, we do not operate a whip in our local party.”
